A Few of my Favorite Things – Apps

March 31, 2014

So you may not care lol, I know I’m not famous like Oprah, BUT I do know that I like what I like! So here’s something different! A few of my favorite FREE apps. Some you may have heard of but some maybe not… there are a lot of them out there! Check em out! My current top 5 Apps.

apps51. Magisto

This app has been really fun for me to put together little creative videos of my life. And even better than that it sometimes auto creates videos for you when it sees you have new photos/videos. They almost always make me smile. So worth a try. (Even if you don’t currently have 2,600 photos/videos on your phone…ack!)

2. Flipp App

This app is great for finding deals (and we know I love those!) You can browse all of your local flyers…which is great. But BEST OF ALL. You can SEARCH by ITEM. Yes I am excited by this. You can say “lean ground beef” or “laminate flooring” and it will bring up all of the places in local flyers where that comes up. So I’m a huge fan of this one. Props to my brother for hooking me up with this one.

apps2 3. Our Grocery List

This one is simply put AWESOME if you have two people in your home who do buying of groceries. You can sync your apps together so when you add an item on your phone it shows up on theirs. So you can both update a grocery list and both see the changes. It also allows for different lists so when you’re thinking of something you can write it down before you forget (Hello mama brain) so for me we have a Dollar Store, Costco, Grocery and Random list.

4. Lapse it.

Another new one. It’s been fun capturing time lapses simply and easily. The free version is low res, but I am considering upgrading so that I can do some high res time lapse sunsets or car rides. Something fun and new to play with. Maybe even a “day in the life” to see how our living room goes from tidy to disaster to tidy again…. lol

apps45. PC Plus

Ok I didn’t really “Get” how to use this until recently…but besides normal point collection (and having it on your phone as apposed to yet another card) they offer you bonus points on items weekly based on your shopping habits. So you get bonus points for stuff you would already be buying anyway!

Nothing earth shattering, just some fun/useful apps that I wanted to share. What are your favorite apps? Free or not?
