If you were wondering if I had called it quits because I thought I was running out..wonder no more, more random things are coming your way!

But first, a shout out to Kristyn & Mike. We went out on a fun training/playing/testing shoot the other day and one of them snapped this shot of me. (We were all taking pics on all of the cameras so I am not 100% sure on who took this one BUT they were all great so either way thanks both of you!!! )

1. I know I mention it frequently but I am amazed with just how girly I have become. (not that its a bad thing…just a big change) I don’t know if I would say I was ever a tomboy but….

2. I used to wear men’s deodorant. I am not really sure why now, when I think back, because I don’t even sweat that much. I guess the girly smells and me didn’t get along.

3. My bedroom when I was a little girl was pink with unicorns. When I got to redecorate my room as a teenager I chose hunter green and tan….

4. I used to wear mens flip flops. I still have one pair but when I got my sandals mixed up with one of my hubby’s groomsmen (Yes, same size and everything…) I thought maybe I should switch to girls ones…I do have really wide feet though so often girls flip flops are too narrow, especially cute girly ones…which I now like…

5. I don’t like fitting the status “girly” quo. We were away on the weekend and all the guys were going sailing (none of the girls really wanted to go) which was all fine, until someone SAID “oh looks like all the girls are going to stay and get some sun” (or something similar) I decided I would go sailing.

6. It drives me NUTS that I don’t REALLY know how to drive a standard. Like it really bothers me, but we have never owned one. It looks like we may be buying one soon, and I can’t wait to learn. I mean I know HOW…but have never had much opportunity to practice.

7. I always have this desire to learn to do something more “boyish” and then really impress Alex. Like I intended to start mountain biking without him knowing and then surprise him by going out and really rocking the course or something…sadly that has not happened…and the summer is almost over!!!

8. I believe that I can do pretty much anything I put my mind to, but I like chivalry too. Yes I CAN open my own door, and I CAN carry my own bag, but it wont bother me one bit if you open my door or carry my bag for me It makes me feel special.

9. Now if you tell me that you don’t think I can lift that speaker (or whatever it is) I will likely do it just to prove I can. But once I prove it, I will likely let you lift the next one

10. I tried nail polish out, turns out I DO like having my toe nails painted…but having my fingernails painted drives me nuts

***Disclaimer*** I believe women can do pretty much anything they set their minds to! but there are some things that are more socially accepted/expected to be girl or guy activities. Don’t be all silly on me and think I am sexist or anything lol! Go ladies!!

This was the ultimate DIY wedding! Alyson’s family was renovating their home, so they incorporated the wedding into that planning. What an amazing location and what a family full of love! They built the floor for the tent, had friends run the bar (they were squeezing lemons all afternoon!)  and their church volunteered to cook and serve the dinner! Bridesmaids and groomsmen (and lady) decorated rocks, put out flowers, tied ribbons and anything else that was needed)

All of the photos were done within a 5 minute walk of the house, and well I had a BLAST!!!

I had to include a series near the end of this post, because I just couldn’t get over the chemistry between these two (and was not at all suprised when EVERY speech mentioned this amazing love!) and I couldn’t pick!!!

Oh and I am a big believer in everything happening for a reason! So glad that I ran into Alyson down by Da Maurizo! What a wonderful chain of events that caused!!!

Priya & Todd! What an amazing blessing it was being a part of your special day. I am so excited for a dinner date with you guys!

1. I often start by saying three words to a story and then saying  “did I already tell you this story?” Although its possible I may have told them the story I am THINKING of, there is no way for them to know at that point!!!

2. I often say that a story is going to be “hilarious” …more often it is only mildly amusing.

3. I have a horrible memory for details, so I may often embellish stories, or leave out a funny part, or the part that will make the ending funny, or ironic…

4. My stories often have bunny trails…and then trails off of those bunny trails

5. I often forget where I am in a story…or how I got there

6. Reading novels is one of the only things that completely distracts my brain from real life. That and bejewelled, but even then I have a sense of connection to the world because I play on my iphone.

7. Alex and I have only ever had two pets since we have been married. Two fighting fish…not at the same time. Alex killed one with a rock (not on purpose…but he did hope that I wouldn’t notice) the other died of more natural causes.

8. I hate hand driers in washrooms (ok or anywhere) unless they are the ones that make it look like you will blow the skin of your hands. I end up drying my fingers with tp, or my pant legs.

9.  It is my anniversary tomorrow…4 years already! WOWZAS how the time flies!!!

10. I am getting girlier as life goes on. I bought nail polish today for the first time in probably 10 years!!!

1. I used to wear dress pants all of the time. I used to think jeans were super uncomfortable. Now I don’t like dress pants, and jeans are pretty good. But skirts and leggings are my bottoms of choice.

2. I haven’t had my toe nails painted a colour since my high school prom. Well one time a couple of years ago I had a pedicure and they told me the “in” colour was dark blue, so they put that on. But it looked like I had hypothermia so I took it off! My toes are currently painted a colour called “susie and the lifeguard”

3. I like reading the names of lipsticks and nail polishes. Some of the names are really creative.

4. I never liked fish before but have had salmon, by choice, three times in the last week, and enjoyed it every time!

5. I like sitting on rockers and gliders but actual swings give me motion sickness.

6. I was once proposed to by a sailor who I had known for two weeks, only through serving him as a waitress at Gatsbys.

7. I used to hem my pants with a stapeler.

8. I don’t iron. I actually iron more wrinkles into clothes. I do have a steamer…which I use sometimes…

9. People always think that I am a vegetarian…I am not sure why….maybe I have that look about me. But I am definitely a meat eater.

10. I used to shop at frenchy’s a lot (For those from away its a used clothing chain…where clothes are in bins) and haven’t been in forever. Tonight I got a black cocktail dress, scarf, long skirt, jcrew long sleeved shirt, dressy banana republic tank top and a pair of pants for $20. Not too shabby.

1. I can be completely exhausted and full of energy at the same time (thats where I am right now!!!)

2. I often eat lunch/dinner foods for breakfast. I am not a big breakfast fan, but sometimes eat breakfast foods for lunch/dinner.

3. I don’t have a lot of favorite treats. I really like a lot of things, but one day I might want a strawberry sundae, the next chocolate… you just never do know with me!

4. I don’t like driving at night.

5. When I was a kid I had a mushroom cut. Did any of you out there have that one? The bowl cut with the rest shaved pretty short? Yes….it was that bad.

6. My car becomes a catch all for just about everything. See when I leave the house I often have meetings, and things to deliver, and things to mail etc etc…and then often I buy things when I am out, so then then I bring that stuff in and leave the rest of it in the car. For example today I had 5 bags when I left the house, so some of that I am sure will end up staying in there for weeks.

7. I think things like handwriting analysis are very interesting. I would like to get someone to analyze mine sometime. I had a client tell me the other day that switching between cursive and printing means that you are creative…(interesting) I would like to see what else I could learn about me! Maybe I’ll do a 10 random things about my handwriting someday….

8. I love to dance, but have never completed any classes in my adult life. In fact I think as a child I only took one kind of “all dances” class where we did ballet & jazz…I would still love to take a dance class someday…I even love aerobics classes that are in a dance type style. I love to dance around my house when I clean.

9. I think I have been healed of my fear of spiders!!! I mean I am not a huge fan or anything but since I saw the tarantula in Bolivia…I have not freaked out at the sight of any other spiders…

10. Reheated pizza (in the microwave) almost always gives me a tickle in my throat. Which makes me giggle…and then it lasts for quite a while…good times.
