As a photographer light is one of the most key elements to what we do, but even so I am always amazed by what an effect a change of lighting can have on a scene. As the sun went down our bride had her makeup done by the amazingly talented Vicky Mina and her hair re-done by Jessica Fletcher from True Beauty Spa & Wellness Center. Avril from Kitchen Door Catering rocked the set up of a bobbing for apples inspired food station with amazing individual canned salads and floating fiddle-head and shrimp appetizers. They also created a small drink station with a pretty pink drink to go with the theme. (Two side notes about Kitchen Door Catering: They can do ANYTHING! I truly believe this! Their food is always to die for and they can customize a food/drink station to completely coordinate with your wedding plans/decor/style. Totally awesome and original stuff! And secondly you should know that they sell to go meals at their stores in Bedford and down on Barrington Street. I have only tried a few things from the to go section (all tasty as heck) but the chocolate chunk cookies are AH-MAY-ZING!!!! I will only let myself cook one or two of them at a time (otherwise I would eat them all) But seriously…a MUST try!!) That was just a little freebie for ya!)
Elegant Productions transformed the barn space into a dramatic and romantic candle lit wonderland, Mills Halifax sent over some beautiful shoes and jewels and Karma Bridal provided the headpiece, short dress and jeweled belt to pull together the evening look for our beautiful bride.
I love that we were able to show how you don’t have to always have “all or nothing”, that if your personality is soft and sweet but with a hint of drama you can do that with your wedding. You can make it completely your own. You can have a natural, soft, beautiful daytime look and a more dramatic evening. You can do whatever you want (and the amazing vendors that we used can certainly help! They pulled it all together for me!) So don’t think just because your venue is rustic that you have to drink out of mason jars (but you can if you want!) We just wanted to show how you can do something different. You can make your wedding unique and personal and completely You!
Thank you again to the amazing team and contributors. You were all fabulous!! I couldn’t believe how quickly the day went, and then all of a sudden it was one in the morning (and the day started at 6am) and I was crashing at my assistants house! I could have spent many more hours photographing each detail, the bride and groom and the behind the scenes! I was just so happy with how the vision all came to fruition!
