Ten things to a productive and happy editing day in the This is Photography office!

1. Black pens and Sharpies. I think I mentioned that I love black pens, and I find I am constantly writing notes, or marking on backup dvds so these are an absolute must haves!

2. My beautiful Mac! I love LOVE love it! I just switched to apple computers about a year ago and I can tell you I will never ever ever be going back to windows! I have been converted! Its not perfect by any means, but who/what is?

3. My massaging chair back! Alex got this for me for Christmas three years ago and didn’t think that I would ever use it, but I do :)

4. My Wacom Bamboo tablet! It makes editing so much smoother and precise! Another could not live without item. Funny enough I ALWAYS think I have lost the pen that goes with it, but usually it ends up that I have just put it in its holder. (I operate under what is called organized chaos… so when something is where it “should” be it throws me off my game!

5. Skype or gmail chat. Its an adjustment working from home (one I am happy to make) but sometimes its nice to have some company so me and my BFF (Jeff) or other photographers and friends will chat on Skype periodically through the day…throwing out ideas, shooting the breeze etc. Keeps me sane!

6. DVD’s – these puppies are good for so many things! I use em to back up shoots (they get backed up on a hard drive too) to burn files,  slideshows and for scratching my back…ok that last one isn’t true, just felt like I needed another thing!

7. My trusty notebook. I have tried like a gazillion to do list softwares, apps and calenders…but the notebook pretty much never leaves my side. It houses to do lists, notes from meetings with clients, goals, dreams, prayers, notes from church and so much more! I used to try to keep a different notebook for each subject but my purse was getting pretty heavy!

8. Agua! My good ol H20 in my BPA free camelbak water bottle (I lose about 6 of these a year…current one is blue)

9. Nice warm temperature :) The heat in my office is set higher than the rest of the house and I usually have a blanket on as well.

10. Grooveshark is a website where you can stream music online for free, or sometimes I will go to global tv’s website and stream tv shows while I work…just to have some background sound

So there you go, a little insight into my daily office life!
