Last year I had the wonderful pleasure of taking part in the Bespoke Wedding Event in Halifax. It was the first of its kind in Atlantic Canada and Simply Weddings did an amazing job organizing it! I was AMAZED at what the vendors put together, like did you know we had people in Halifax that could make carpets out of flowers? I am in the industry and had NO idea. By the time the guests of the event arrived, it was a calm, champagne and chatting event, but leading up to it, I felt like we were filming a part of a reality TV show, like the amazing bridal race! Each room had a team of vendors who did decor, wardrobe, stationary, cakes, accessories, hair and makeup, photography and more. We were all racing against the clock to finish the details and then PHOTOGRAPH them before the doors opened! I think we may have had 20 minutes with the “couple” (who met 2 minutes before we started taking photographs…they made a pretty cute couple didn’t they!) I am so proud of the team in our room, and all of the teams that put together all of the amazing rooms. And to be honest, pretty darn proud of myself for what I was able to capture with just twenty minutes! It put my creativity and endurance to the test, but I loved the challenge.
