I have to admit, though I don’t feel like I am a really “traditional” individual, I do enjoy cultural traditions! We’ve had a few weddings this year where cultural traditions were prominent and we’ve really enjoyed watching (albeit through the lens) and learning about the different traditions. Jackie & Jerry had a beautiful day for their wedding and I actually didn’t realize until I was editing the images was an amazingly beautiful blue sky we had. We went to York Redoubt, a look-off and down by the water and the blues were amazing! Their dinner was at the Westin hotel in Halifax and I think it was one of the most  efficient dinner services I had ever experienced (Other than the huge tray of dishes that was dropped just as Crissy started her Rap…but that stuff happens! Way to roll with it Crissy!!! “REMIX”)

Now I love meeting new people, and working with new couples, but there is something extra special about photographing someone you know, and where you know the family, the bridal party, guests and the MC’s. Jackie & I went to the same church growing up, and the same Junior High & High School, so it was extra special to be there to capture this beautiful day with them!

The day wasn’t without its excitement either! From missing shoes to the beautiful bride being stung by something (we still don’t know what but it was quite a scare as the last time she had been stung she had a severe allergic reaction) we were sure kept on our toes!

Here is a sneak peek from the day:
