last year my dad rappelled of 1801 hollis st in support of the easter seals, and I missed it, by about 30 seconds.

this year I volunteered to photograph the entire morning of the event (because its a great event, and that way I for sure wouldn’t miss my dads rappel) my dad, by the way, fundraised the most amount of money of any individual in the history of the drop zone (6 years all across the city!) yay dad!!

I chatted with the RAT guys (The guys who set up the ropes etc) while I was taking the photos and I talked it up, oh ya…I would do it…if given the opportunity, but i didnt raise any money…just here to support my dad etc

A friend of mine from High School (And jr high and elementary and before) was volunteering helping people get all ready for the rappel and asked me the same questions.

Turns out they were running ahead of schedule

I could rappel if I wanted

dry mouth, sweating

gosh I said I would didnt I….why the heck not!

Thanks Milo for encouraging me to do it, for asking and getting me all set up. (*she said my nerves didnt get the best of me…i would beg to differ!)

Here are a couple of shots chez milo (she quickly ran downstairs and grabbed my camera and shot a few after helping me over the edge!)

Probably one of the scariest things I have ever willingly done in my life…but it was AWESOME

PS YES i did photoshop out my bum line, I wasnt wardrobe prepared for this…but I would show my butt all over again if given the same opportunity! (as would many of my facebook friends…I asked!!)

PPS It looks WAY higher from the top!!!
